Braves Game

We created a "Summer Bucket List" of things that we wanted to do over summer break. Going to an Atlanta Braves game was one of the things that was on our "to-do list". Saturday, Kerry had the day off-which is very rare. We decided last minute to go to the Braves game. Since It was one of the things that we were wanting to do during our break-I was so excited that Kerry was getting to come with us. The game started at 4:00 so it was extremely HOT. Every year we attend a game I always tell myself I will not go back in the afternoon because it's just too hot. Hopefully I will remember that the next time we plan to go to a game. Here are a few picture of our day at Turner Field.

We had front row seats (in the outfield).

Happy Anniversary to us!!

On Friday May 23, Kerry and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary. It seems wild to me that it was 6 years ago when we said "I do". I remember so many details of that weekend and it seems like only yesterday.
6 years later the one that God choose for me- means more to me than he did that day we were married. He spoils me way more than I deserve and treats me the way I always imagined my husband would.
That night, we got dressed up and had a babysitter come over to watch the boys so we could have a date night. We decided to go to Porterhouse and I was a little hesitant because the last time we ate there it wasn't the best. However, I am so glad we gave it another shot. Our dinner was delicious and the service was great.
I am in work out clothes almost everyday, so it was fun to get dressed up for dinner.

Already home and it wasn't even 9:00 p.m. : )

Last Day of School!!

Today is the last day of the school year!! This year has gone by way too fast,-it really seems like they just started. Everyone tells me the older the boys get the faster the years will go by! I am certainly starting to see the truth in that. They have both learned so much this year and I am in awe at how much they have changed in such a short time.

Carson has changed so much. He had such a baby face in the beginning of the school year.

Hard to believe he will be in the Fourth grade next year!!

We are so excited about the summer. We have a lot of things planned so I am sure it will go by quickly, but we can't wait!

Coach Pitch Baseball (Redsox)

Carson had his last baseball game of the season, tonight. He really loved baseball this year and learned so much. It has been so much fun watching him and his team improve over the last few months-they have really come a long way. Next year, Carson will move up to machine pitch baseball and I can't wait to see him play.
After the game the his team had a pizza party to celebrate all of their hard work this year.

Bikram Yoga

Today I took my very first Yoga class. I have always wanted to take a yoga class to see what it was all about and today I finally got the chance.  I have friends that take Yoga and we have tried several times to coordinate a time to go together, but it just never seemed to workout. So, today I decided I was just going to go on my own.  I googled local yoga classes and the first that came up was Athens Bikram Yoga and they had a class that would start in a couple of hours. I decided to get dressed and head to the studio to try it out. When I arrived I realized that "Bikram" was actually HOT yoga and I was apparently way overdressed. I was very surprised at the amount of clothes(or lack there of) the other students were wearing.

The class lasted an hour and a half and I was a hot sweaty mess when it was done!! As much as I was ready for the class to end during the looooong 1 1/2 hours- I felt so good after it was all said and done.  I decided to go ahead and sign up for the one month unlimited so I can see just how beneficial yoga can be.

Walker- 9 Years Old

On Tuesday we woke up to a 9 year old!! Walker has been excited about turning 9 for quite some time now, and it is so hard for me to believe I have a child that is 9!

Walker was up a little after 6 and said he couldn't sleep because he was so excited that is was his birthday. We celebrated that morning with Dunkin' Donuts (one of his favorite things).

I was able to bring Walker his favorite lunch (Zaxby's) at school and we also had a cookie cake to share with his classmates.

After school I had set up balloons inside the doorway to surprise him when he came in from the bus. The balloons didn't fall exactly as I had imagined, but he was still surprised. Walker and Carson had more fun popping all of the balloons, afterwards.

For dinner we let Walker choose where he wanted to go and no surprise he chose Sakura (rice chicken place is what he has always called hibachi restaurants).

This is a picture of Walker one week before he turned 9. I love this picture of him and still see him as a little boy, even though he growing up so fast, He will always be my baby.

Walker at 9 years old:
  • He is very sweet and always concerned about others.
  • He loves playing with his brother and they get along great for the most part.
  • He is VERY strong willed and will argue with me about anything!
  • He loves to read!
  • His very best friend is Mara (they have been in school together since preschool).
  • Loves Gymnastics and anytime that he can flip and jump around.
