Weekend in D.C.

I love to travel and always get excited anytime I have the opportunity to go somewhere. This past weekend Kerry and I went to D.C. to visit with some friends for their house warming party. It was a quick weekend trip, but a lot of fun.
We went to the Casino in Maryland on Friday night-which I'm sure was Kerry's favorite part of the trip (maybe it was mine too). I love to play poker and we had the chance to play a little bit.
Saturday we got up early and did a little sightseeing. There was a 60% chance of rain and we thankfully got out in time to see what we wanted and beat the rain. Here are a few pictures from our weekend getaway.

I'M 30!!

I have had the WORST anxiety about turning 30!! I'm kinda glad this day has come and gone.

So aren't you supposed to have all your ducks in a row by the time you are 30!!? If you would have asked me 10 years ago where I wanted to be in life on this day; I would have confidently spouted out my exact life plan and how successful I would be. Well fast forward 10 years and I'm not exactly where I thought I'd be. I have been in and out of school working toward that "perfect" job and I'm still unsure what that is or if that really exist for me. Now, don't get me wrong I am extremely happy and thats what matters, right?! I have a wonderful husband that I adore!! He would do absolutely anything for me and two of the smartest, sweetest and most kind spirited children you could ask for. And, I have a job where I get to wear yoga pants and socks everyday!! So, maybe life hasn't turned out how I had it planned in my head, but if we knew exactly what our future holds there wouldn't be much fun in that! My goal for my 30th year is to live each day with no expectations and enjoy the small things. Life goes by quickly and I don't want to sit and worry about the things that I haven't accomplished, but instead be grateful for the things that I have. Life certainly has a way of throwing you curve balls. It's how you get yourself out of them that counts. : )

Dinner at McKendrick's Steakhouse

I wore all black on our date and I'm usually not a fan of all black, but I loved this outfit and of course my Christian Louboutin shoes

My favorite dessert, white chocolate cheesecake

First Day of School

Is it really already time to go back to school?!?!? This summer has flown by...the older the boys get the time really does go by so much faster. Walker started 4th grade today and Carson started 1st. They really are excited about the teachers they have so I think this will be a great year for them.

Summer Beach Trip (Destin, FL)

We love Destin, Fl and were so glad that we were able to vacation there again this summer. We spent a week relaxing and of course a lot of eating!! These are some of my favorite pictures from our week at the beach.

Braves Game

We created a "Summer Bucket List" of things that we wanted to do over summer break. Going to an Atlanta Braves game was one of the things that was on our "to-do list". Saturday, Kerry had the day off-which is very rare. We decided last minute to go to the Braves game. Since It was one of the things that we were wanting to do during our break-I was so excited that Kerry was getting to come with us. The game started at 4:00 so it was extremely HOT. Every year we attend a game I always tell myself I will not go back in the afternoon because it's just too hot. Hopefully I will remember that the next time we plan to go to a game. Here are a few picture of our day at Turner Field.

We had front row seats (in the outfield).

Happy Anniversary to us!!

On Friday May 23, Kerry and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary. It seems wild to me that it was 6 years ago when we said "I do". I remember so many details of that weekend and it seems like only yesterday.
6 years later the one that God choose for me- means more to me than he did that day we were married. He spoils me way more than I deserve and treats me the way I always imagined my husband would.
That night, we got dressed up and had a babysitter come over to watch the boys so we could have a date night. We decided to go to Porterhouse and I was a little hesitant because the last time we ate there it wasn't the best. However, I am so glad we gave it another shot. Our dinner was delicious and the service was great.
I am in work out clothes almost everyday, so it was fun to get dressed up for dinner.

Already home and it wasn't even 9:00 p.m. : )
