It SNOWED in Georgia

In Athens, Georgia if we hear of snow it's a pretty big deal! We only get snow every couple of years so I am always excited when we get a little!! On Tuesday January 29th it snowed!! Schools closed early and we got to have a few days at home to enjoy the snow!! Here are a few pictures from our "Snow Days".

UPDATE: 30 Before 30

It has been an entire year since my last post!! I am determined to be a better blogger in 2014!!! Since my last post I have completed several things on my "30 Before 30" bucket list. I have also realized that my list may have been a little ambitious so I will most likely not complete them all before 30, but hopefully more than half of them will be done!! : )

1. The first thing on my list was to set a new Personal Record for running a half marathon. In 2011 I ran 13.1 in 2 hours and 32 minutes; this year on October 20, 2013 I set a new PR by finishing the grueling 13.1 miles in 2 hours and 26 minutes! 6 minutes may not be a huge improvement, but I will take it!!

2. I took a spin class at BodyPlex and realized it was not my thing and I'm not sure I'll ever take another!! : ) 

3. I have read several new books! I love to read and wish I had more time to do it. I get so into a book once I begin and usually can not put it down. These are the ones I have read since my last blog post (along with many other children's books as well : ) ).

4. I took a sewing class. I learned some basics of sewing, but still want to learn a lot more!! Here are some of the things that I have sewn since taking the class. 

These are just a few of the things that I have knocked off my list since my last blog post. I hope to update more this week! 

30 BEFORE 30

I am quickly approaching 30 (19 months away to be exact) and I have mixed emotions about reaching this  milestone! I can vividly remember my mom turning 30 and it doesn't seem like it was that long ago,so for me to be approaching the BIG 3-0 seems a little crazy!! To "celebrate" I am challenging myself with a list of 30 things that I want to do before my 30th birthday! Some of the things are small and things that I have been wanting to do, but have simply not set aside the time to do them. I feel like if I have a list in front of me I will feel a sense of accomplishment as I cross through them one by one. I am excited about each and everything on the list and it makes me a little more excited about reaching these "goals" and getting closer to 30!! Here is the list that I have come up with.

My plan is to update my blog each time I am able to cross through something on my list. Ready. Set. GO! 

Blogging Hiatus

It has been over a year since my last blog entry! So much has changed in just 1 short year and how I so wish that I had blogged to keep a better record of everything. My goal for 2013 is to keep up with my blog and try to at least update once a week.....,We'll see how well that goes.
Since last updating in December 2012 I was a full-time stay at home mom and now I am teaching pre-k full time and what a shift that has been! I do love it and I am so thankful to have a job, but there are many days that I miss being able to stay at home! Carson and Walker are now in school full time (Carson in Pre-K and Walker in 2nd grade) so it was time for me to leave the world of  SAHM behind.
There are so many things I am already excited about getting to write so maybe I will keep up with blogging as planned!!! : )

Room Update

I FINALLY got the bedding for Carson's room! I feel like I have been waiting forever for it to come in. I was so excited to finally put it on his bed, I think it looks great. I am still waiting on the prints to go above his bed and after that there are only a few small details I want to add and it will be complete. Here are some pictures of his bedding.

Visit to Santa Claus
